Privacy Policy

Overview

KernWeise AI is designed as a local orchestration interface. The default Clean Edition runs on the user's own Windows device and does not include bundled cloud accounts, bundled API keys, AI models, or third-party media.

Data processed locally

The app may process text entered into the local task bar, local module status checks, and local configuration values supplied by the user.

By default, the Clean Edition does not upload user prompts to a remote service.

Optional external services

If the user configures external API keys or providers, prompts and related data may be sent to those providers according to their own terms and privacy policies. Users and customers are responsible for reviewing those provider policies before use.

API keys

The distributed Clean Edition does not contain real API keys. Customers should provide and manage their own keys. API keys should not be shared publicly or included in redistributed demo packages.

Local storage

The current Clean Edition does not require a user account and does not create a cloud profile.

The browser may store local preferences on the user's own device, such as selected interface language, setup checklist progress, and whether the setup flow has been completed. These values are stored locally in the browser's local storage and are not uploaded by the Clean Edition.

Third-party modules

Optional modules such as Ollama, OpenHands, ComfyUI, Whisper, Piper, and FFmpeg are not bundled in the Clean Edition. If users install them separately, those components may have their own licenses, data behavior, and configuration.

Children's data

KernWeise AI is not designed for children and should not be used to knowingly collect children's personal data.
